Alamieyeseigha’s son commits suicide in Dubai



The death has been announced of Oyamuyefa Alamieyeseigha, son of former governor of Bayelsa state, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha.
Oyamuyefa died in Dubai, United Arab Emirates at the weekend.
He was reported to have committed suicide. The reason for the suicide was not stated.
Oyamuyefa attended University of Wollongong in Dubai, between 2009 and 2012, according to a LinkedIn entry in his name.

Dwarf given Colouring Book and Crayon by Waitress in Restaurant


A dwarf took his fiancee to a restaurant for a romantic meal and was handed a children's colouring book and crayons by a waitress.
James Lusted, 26, who is just 3ft 7in, was on a date with his 5ft 7in fiancee when the waitress picked up two menus and some crayons and a colouring book.

Lagos ‘bird woman’ dies in hospital


A middle-aged woman who caused a stir at Cappa Bus Stop, Oshodi Lagos on Friday, after being accused of witchcraft, has died.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the woman, who was badly burnt, was accused of transforming from a bird into a human being.
Some eyewitnesses claimed the woman had fallen as a ‘bird’ from the cable, and confessed to have some metaphysical powers

Rapist Uploads Nude Photos Of his Victim On Internet

A 30-year old man has allegedly raped a 20-year old girl in Lagos, southwest Nigeria and uploaded her pictures on the internet.
The suspect, Olaniyan Oluwakayode, who hails from Osun State, allegedly raped the girl in his apartment at Ifako area of Lagos. He was arrested by the police and brought to the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, WAPA, in handcuffs.
The victim (name withheld) from Akwa Ibom State, alleged that after being raped, Oluwakayode snapped her pictures despite pleas from his sister to desist from such barbaric act, saying Oluwakayode was never her boyfriend as he claimed.

Operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, Lagos have smashed a syndicate, arresting a woman and a man that specialised in robbing unsuspecting passengers who board commercial cab along Badagry-Mile 2 route.
According to Police sources, the suspects identified as Ahmed Isiaka and Victoria Amodu are part of five-man robbery gang operating along Seme-Badagry- Mile 2 route.

EFCC Charge 2 Fraudsters to Court over $7.9 Million Oil Fraud


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested two alleged fraudsters for duping an investor from a Middle East country.
It was gathered that the duo of Mr. Victor Uadiale and Captain Everest Nnaji allegedly defrauded the investor of $7.9m.
The EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, said Uadiale, the principal suspect, was the arrow head of an international syndicate that specialised in defrauding international businessmen seeking investment opportunities in Nigeria.

Mother and Daughter Allegedly involved in Lesbian Affair

Man electrocuted while stealing power cables


Residents of the Lonlo area along Iju- Ishaga Road, Lagos woke up on Monday to find a man who had been electrocuted by a transformer belonging to the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the man, whose names had yet to be known, was electrocuted while he was allegedly trying to remove transformer cables.
He was accused of being a vandal who wanted to steal some cables from the transformer.

Man discovers wife is a man after 19 Years of Marriage



A 64-year-old Belgian man identified only as Jan has been fighting for the courts to grant him an annulment and permission to evict his wife of 19 years from their home after discovering that she was actually born a man.
I feel I've been assaulted," Jan reportedly told the Het Nieuwsblad newspaper, describing the discovery that his Indonesian wife, Monica, is a transsexual. The news was such a shock that he is reportedly undergoing psychiatric treatment.

Police save Fraudster from Mob Justice


Policemen attached to the Area F Command in Lagos State have rescued a suspected fraudster from being lynched by an angry mob in the Ojodu-Berger area.
The suspect, Akinnifesi, was handed over to the police who were on a patrol.
Akinifesi had, three weeks earlier in the Mushin area, reportedly duped one Daud of N10,000 belonging to his brother, who sent him to withdraw N5,000 from his Diamond bank account.

Ogun police arrest ‘witches’, others for N14.5m fraud


The men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested two ‘white witches’ and two other members of a fraud syndicate who allegedly duped a couple of N14.5m.
The ‘witches’ ─ Risikat Oriyomi, Sola Babalola; and the other suspects; Shehu Salam, and Wasiu Ajani ─ were arrested in Omusorin village, Obafemi/ Owode Local Government Area.
The fifth suspect, who was said to be the ring leader, Baba Awotola, was said to have fled on sighting the men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

Uzor Emmanuel, a 45-year old married man with three kids played a fast one on a 42-year old lady, Victoria Adeleye at the Ikoyi Marriage Registry Lagos state, Southwest Nigeria.
Emmanuel who had proposed to marry Adeleye at the registry dumped her at the court premises and disappeared with her N4 million. The wedding was subsequently called-off following Emmanuel’s disappearance.

A jilted man, Abiodun Atinuke, has been arrested and charged before Ijeshatedo Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos State, western Nigeria, for allegedly hiring assassins to kill his ex-wife.
The 34-year old suspect allegedly hired three men now at large and paid them an undisclosed amount of money to assassinate his ex-wife Eniola for dumping him for another man six months after their marriage.

General Danjuma's Personal Assistant Charged to Court for Defrauding him of 2 Billion Naira

A special assistant to former Defence Minister, Lt. Gen. T. Y. Danjuma (retd), Manasseh Zorto, was on Friday brought before a Federal High Court in Lagos State for allegedly defrauding his boss of N2bn.
The suspect, who was said to be on the run, could not be arraigned before Justice Okon Abang on Friday.
When the matter was called, the counsel to the Special Fraud Unite, Chief Godwin Obla, said the police were having challenges in bringing the accused to court.

Woman sits 14-year-old girl on hotplate for bed-wetting

The Dutsen Alhaji Police Division of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, Abuja, has arrested a woman, Mrs. Roseline Uzoamaka, for allegedly brutalising her 14-year-old relative, identified simply as Sarah, because she was bed-wetting.
Our correspondent learnt that Uzoamaka allegedly forced the teenager to sit on a burning electric cooker until the girl sustained severe burns in her private parts as a punishment for urinating on the bed.

Police Arrest Robbers who Raped Pastor’s daughter


The Oyo State Police Command has arrested four robbers who dispossessed a clergy of two cars and raped his daughter.
Commissioner of Police in the state, Sam Okaula, said the clergy reported the robbery at the Sanyo Police Division on July 21, a day after the incident.
Okaula said, “The pastor reported that around 11.45pm, four armed robbers jumped into his compound and ordered him to open the door which he did at gun point. They ordered those in the house to lie down while they gathered valuable items.
