Nigerian sentenced to death in Malaysia for Drug Trafficking

A Nigerian, Eric Oluigbo, was on Monday sentenced to death by a high court in Malaysia for trafficking in drugs two years ago.
The Malaysian news agency, Bernama, reports that Judicial Commissioner, Zaki Abdul Wahab, sentenced 34-year-old Oluigbo for allegedly distributing 22,159 grammes of cannabis at a traffic light in Napoh, heading to Bukit Kayu Hitam at about 6.45am on September 1, 2010.
He was charged under Section 39 (B) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which carries a mandatory death penalty upon conviction.
